Curriculum Collection

There are many books in the Curriculum Center that will help you prepare lessons and classroom activities. You can search the Curriculum Center from the library homepage to discover teaching materials.

  1. Go to the library website: www.concordiacollege.edu/library
  2. Click on the "Curriculum" tab
  3. Enter your search term(s)
  4. Click the dropdown arrow to limit your search to a specific section in the Curriculum Center
    1. All = All Materials
    2. Easy Readers = Picture Books
    3. Fiction = Middle Grade and Young Adult Novels
    4. Nonfiction = K-12 Books Based on Facts
    5. Professional = K-12 Textbooks and Lesson Planning Books
    6. World Languages = K-12 Books in German, Spanish, French, Chinese, and more
  5. Click "Search"

Search Tips

  • "Multicultural" is not a searchable term in the Curriculum Center. You will need to use other terms that help you find books of interest, such as "Japanese American," "Mexican American," "Korean American," etc. 
  • "Multicultural education" is a usable search term for the Curriculum Center and the Main Collection. 
  • "Racism" is a usable search term. 
  • "Native Americans" and "Indians of North America" are usable search terms.
  • When you find a book that fits with your lesson plan or curriculum, click on "View Description" and look at the Subjects for more search term ideas. 

TeachingBooks

TeachingBooks is a collection of vetted instruction materials about children's and young adult books and authors. TeachingBooks pairs books with information about the authors, author interviews, book guides, activities, lessons, and more. Search by title or browse by collection - grade level, curricular area, cultural area, genre, etc.
